This Privacy Policy explains how ChatBizz ("we", "us", the "App") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using ChatBizz you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and profile/cover photo provided when you register.
- Content you create — chat messages, photos, files, item lists, ephemeral "snaps", status/stories, group details, and call activity.
- Contacts — with your permission, your device contacts are used to help you find people you know on ChatBizz.
- Location — with your permission, your approximate or precise location is used to show nearby shops and services on the map.
- Camera & microphone — accessed only when you take a photo/snap or place a voice/video call.
- Device & usage data — device identifiers, app version, push (FCM) tokens, and diagnostic logs used to operate and improve the App.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide messaging, calling, snaps, status, and shop/marketplace features.
- To deliver notifications and keep your chats and orders in sync.
- To show nearby shops and relevant products.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only:
- With other users as required by the features you use (e.g. the recipients of a message, snap, or order).
- With Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) and ZEGOCLOUD for calling, which process data on our behalf to run the App. See the Firebase Privacy notice.
- When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Ephemeral snaps are deleted automatically once viewed. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see our Account Deletion page.
5. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Children's Privacy
ChatBizz is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can remove it.
7. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your information, and withdraw permissions (contacts, location, camera) in your device settings at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
